Welcoming New Additions: Rising Leaders Join the TFF Internship Program

Salt Lake City, CA – March 9, 2025 –At the Toʻomalatai Family Foundation, our mission extends beyond providing opportunities. We are committed to cultivating future leaders who carry their cultures, stories, and ambitions with pride. This month, we’re honored to welcome two remarkable young women into our internship program: Lianne Albert and Naia Makakona, both students at the University of Utah majoring in Strategic Communications.

As proud Polynesian women, Lianne and Naia bring not only talent but also a deep sense of purpose to their work. Their presence is a powerful reminder of what it looks like when culture, community, and ambition intersect.

Lianne’s had a lifelong passion for sports and photography, driven by the strength and sacrifices of her family, especially her grandparents. Her work is more than creative expression; it’s a tribute to the legacy she carries. Every project she takes on is infused with pride, intention, and a desire to honor where she comes from.

Naia is a visionary in her own right. With her sights set on becoming a marketing manager or director, she brings bold ideas and the confidence to bring them to life. She is driven by a belief in her voice — and a determination to lead with it. Her confidence, creativity, and clarity of purpose already shine through in the contributions she’s making.

Lianne and Naia have hit the ground running contributing to key projects and bringing fresh energy into our growing team. Watching them thrive is not only exciting but also a reflection of why we do this work: to nurture young Pacific Islander leaders who are ready to shape the future of media, marketing, and storytelling on their own terms.

We are incredibly proud to have them on board and look forward to witnessing and supporting the impact they are bound to make in the world.
